I had a great time interviewing Diana. She is a freshman at CSULB and is a psychology major. A funny thing about how she picked her major is that she decided very last minute to enroll in a psychology course her senior year of highschool and ended up really finding it interesting. Diana than wanted to dive deeper into the world of psychology and decided to claim it as her major.

One of Diana’s favorite things to do is read fictional books. Specifically the Harry Potter series. She loves that it is fiction and has no factual information in it. One of the first things I noticed about Diana was that she was wearing a nine and three quarters necklace which is the train terminal that the characters in Harry Potter go through. She enjoys escaping into the world of Hogwarts and imaging what it would be like if she was one of the characters. One of the reasons she became such a fan of the series was becuase her fourth grade teacher gave her the first book and the series continued through her years in highschool and the last movie ended off with her last year in highschool. Diana loves the Harry Potter series so much that she uses it as references in her daily life. She constantly finds ways that her reality matches with her fantasy. She actually used Harry Potter in her SAT essay and got her highest score on that essay.

Diana is also very interested in sketches. While talking to Diana i found out that she took an art class in highschool for three years and kept the same sketch journal for all three years. She likes that it is all in one place because she finds it interesting to look back at her early sketches and see how much she had grown since when she first started sketching.

Here are some of her sketches

Diana is excited about being at CSULB and even though right now her schedule revolves around homework and living in the dorm, I’m pretty possitive that Diana will end up loving her first semester of college.
